I wish some of the people that live around here and don’t take care of their tree branches knew that it’s a safety hazard. I wish they also knew that you don’t have to be a professional to do some basic tree work. For the most part, people let their tree’s branches dangle into other people’s yards and then turn a blind eye to any complaints that may arise as a result of it. Either that, or they actually don’t get why their tree’s branches dangling over into someone else’s yard might be even a little bit of a disturbance to them. Few people seem to realize that a lot of tree maintenance can be taken care of on one’s own without calling a third party over to the house to do it.

If your tree needs maintenance and you’re thinking of doing it on your own, I would check out SherrillTree.Com before I went anywhere else. They sell affordable climbing gear, tree rigging gear like spikes and spurs, tree rope, saws and tools. On top of that, their site is incredibly easy to navigate! All you have to do to find the item you’re looking for is to hover over some of the links towards the top of the page (e.g: safety/clothing or tools/saws), and more specific items related to that will drop down from there. You can then click on the one you’re interested in and browse to see what SherrillTree has available! Be sure to look at their site once you can, and tell me what you think of it.

I mean, my room is clean enough for all intents and purposes… but my bookshelf is in a bit of disarray when you take into consideration the fact that there is no rhyme or reason to it other than the books being up there. I’m making the effort to lump them together by series now, which should make it substantially easier for me to put a dent into my “to-read book list”, eventually moving it over to my “read book list”. Slowly but surely, I am getting there, even though my bookshelf takes up the better part of one of my walls by virtue of how it was built years ago! And hey, it’s also great exercise as well.

I would consider going snowboarding if the following were met:

· I didn’t live in an area that almost never got snow
· I lived in an area where temperatures were, at the least, reasonably cool
· I actually had clothing that was conducive to being out in cold weather

Once I have the college degree that I would like to have, one and two up there could potentially be changed depending on where my degree and the job market took me. And if that happened, I’m sure item number three could be changed as well — hey, just because I like to wear my clothes on the slightly baggy side (because it stops some people from leering and I am not a fan of clingy clothes because they feel uncomfortable on me), that doesn’t automatically mean that them being baggy is going to adequately shield me from the colder temperatures by default. Something tells me that my kids would like living in a slightly cooler place, though. When it snowed once last year, even if it was only for fifteen or so minutes before the weather shifted and it just became hail and ice, the two absolutely loved playing outside in it.

guardianlv.com/2013/06/lung-transplant-not-best-option-for-cystic-fibrosis

As one of my friends, who has cystic fibrosis and is transplanted, posted:

Apparently oregano oil and yoga now fixes genetic conditions. I’ve contacted the “publisher” and the “journalist” and feel you should to. This is dangerous, misleading, and lives are at stake.

Please get the word out there that these hokey “cures” for genetic conditions are just that. They are hokey. Do all of the homeopathic things that you want, but please do them in addition to what your doctor has suggested you do for your disease. It’s sad that this woman has also deleted all negative comments about the article — most, if not all, of which were justified, by the way — on her Facebook Fan page. She’s made it clear through her actions that she wants people to take her homeopathic “cure-all” as fact, and this is just dangerous…
