Web hosting, it is a very important thing.

While I was in the process of making a new layout for my collective, I got to thinking about web hosting. I’m happy with the one that I have, but I know that it took me awhile to find something that had enough space to do all of the things that I want to do with my site without costing me an arm and a leg. So I found this nice site that’s enlightening me on some of the most important aspects of choosing reliable web hosting, such as what you want to look for in a web hosting company and how to choose a good web hosting company. :)

There are a lot of important things that you as a website owner need to consider when it comes to what web hosting you want to go with, and WebHostingReport.com can certainly help you out here! They have a really nice, informative beginners’ guide to web hosting that can help out even the most inexperienced domain owner, and I’m starting to like Web Hosting Report a lot because of the abundance of information that they have. For those of you that own a domain but might be looking for another hosting company, or even those of you who are just thinking about buying a domain, why not check this site out? They compare pricing and plan features, and can really help you…

I have some domain goals for 2009.

One of the things that I’m going to be working on over the course of these next few days is sprucing up my collective, and I’m going to be phasing out some of the more minor sites that I made in the past that I no longer have any sort of vested interest in. None of my listings will go anywhere, but I’m going to be getting rid of some of the more minor websites that I’ve created, such as my Paint Shop Pro 9 tutorials since I don’t really have the drive to work on that site anymore. I’d also like to make a new layout for my collective, and given that I have the time to do so, I’d like to make a new one every six months or so when I’m on break from school. I’ve been getting a couple of ideas for it recently, and I’d like to put some of these to work as soon as I’m able to. :)

I’m also going to get back into the swing of dropping my EntreCards again, and I’m going to add more people to my blogrolls as I find more interesting blogs that I really like stumbling upon. Meanwhile, I’ve also gotten wind of news that one of my long-time friends wants to get a divorce for her husband… and as much as I hate to say it, and feel sad for her feeling sad that she knows that this is what she needs, I can see why. With him, everything that she wanted came in at second, and he was kind of good at doing stuff without telling her.

  • Have any of you ever heard of AcoBay?

I’ve actually heard a lot about this great consumer network over the course of these last few weeks, and I just thought that I would come here before I get ready to start my day and do everything that I have to do and write about it in here. It’s really easy to register for, and you can easily use AcoBay to share some stuff that you own or talk about some of the neat places that you’ve been! You can even upload some of the photos of the stuff that you own, or pictures of the places that you might have traveled to, if you want. And although I don’t have that much of either one of those right now, I’m thinking about taking some more pictures of some of the things that I own later on when I’m done with my day. Anything is better than nothing at all, or almost nothing… am I right? I mean, I don’t have a lot of great possessions, but…

Their great website also allows for a lot of neat discussion about these two topics, so you’re sure to find at least a couple of people that you share things in common with. You can easily make some new friends on an awesome site like this, which is what keeps me coming back! :) I just love stuff like this.
