Where Dani writes about… just about everything!
Do note that my subject line is lyrics from “So Emotional” by Christina Aguilera.
I can’t wait until my desktop is functioning normally, as it should. For the most part, I use my laptop when I’m at school or not at home… I use it to take notes. When I’m at home, I use my desktop. Now it feels so weird, using my laptop while I’m at home!
But my dad’s fixing it for me, since as it turned out, one of the RAM chips went bad. I’d begun to suspect it for awhile, since I’ve actually had that happen to some of the older computers that I used to own in the past. So I’ll be functioning with a little less RAM from here on out on my desktop, but that’s okay. And the cold that I have is actually getting a little better, thanks to DayQuil. I don’t want to go to school and infect my friends.
My birthday is also coming up on Tuesday! I already got one present early as a bit of “bait”, I guess. That would be Tales Of Destiny 2 for the PSP, with Kyle and Loni. And, of course, Judas. This is the actual sequel to the Tales Of Destiny that originally came out on the PlayStation, and although it’s probably never going to make it here on the shelves in the States, I’m happy with it. I’ve already been made aware of a lot of the spoilers, because this game came out years ago and I did my research knowing that it would probably tank here and not be released stateside. Now I’m kind of curious to find out what else I’m going to be getting from my friends. What’s better is that I made a list for people this year, because my dad sometimes gets a little confused over it…
Judas is, hands down, my all-time favorite character in the entire “Tales of…” series. Ever. What happened toh im in Destiny made me really sad! And even though I loved Abyss when it came out, not even Jade could stop me from liking Judas. He’s just that awesome. And it doesn’t hurt matters any that his special attack is phenomenal, the one that actually involves blowing his head armor off of his face. And if he’s actually willing to allow his facial armor to be foregone and continues right on fighting, well, you know Judas is pissed off.
Well, as it turns out… I have the cold. I found that out when we were staining cells during Microbiology lab and I kept on having to turn away from the microscope because I was sneezing. But I did get a couple of really nice stains even in spite of it, so I’m satisfied. When I was preparing the stains and fixing them, I was wondering what was on here because you can’t really see anything when you do it properly… well, aside from a bit of a haze after you run the slides over the flame. And when I was washing the residual stain off of the slide, I was convinced that it would take my cells right along with it. But when I began looking under the microscope, I could see my cells, nice and lit up! My lab partner, just out of his own luck when he was preparing his slides, couldn’t really get that much. It all really depends on how you do it, I guess…
That, and a little bit of luck can’t hurt when you’re working with stuff that you can’t really see. Our professor collected our cultures from around the school.
A couple of years ago, the city decided to renovate some of the sidewalk on various blocks around here. For some reason, they chose the block that I live on to do it… and they practically had to put stickers around the blocks that they chose to refill, because people would insist on trying to sign their names in the concrete, walking in it or riding their bike right through it without a second thought. I doubt that concrete cleaner would have done them much good, though, given the circumstances. But it wouldn’t have hurt them to do something more about it. They might not have had to refill half of the sidewalk blocks around here if they had simply taken the time to clean it and take care of it before it got to the point where they had to excise separate blocks of it.
