Are you looking for new music to listen to?

Apr 30, 2009 Author: Dani | Filed under: SocialSpark

I like listening to music, and new hip hop artists are no exception to that. For the longest time, I’ve had an interest in artists like Tila Tequila, and the Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five, and people have even commented that my taste in music is extremely eclectic. Simply put, I like a lot of stuff. On my search for some more new and interesting music, I’ve come across ICEBLOC. Even though I can’t help but like music that has a good beat, I like it even more when I like the artists that make it. If I can relate to anything that they sing about, that makes it all the merrier. I like to listen to songs like that…

ICEBLOC has a lot of reasons for making the catchy music that they do, and one of them is the haters. That part made me giggle a little bit, because as blunt as it is, it’s also true. I read something about this when I was reading Tila Tequila’s biography, about how haters fuel the fire in a way for these famous people to do a lot of the big things they do. Anyways, ICEBLOC’s songs are catchy, and they seem to fit in well with the kind of music that I listen to. And I’ve also noticed that the CD cover to their latest CD, KRANKMUZIK, is nice!

  • Going into finals, I have the following…

Apr 30, 2009 Author: Dani | Filed under: college stuff

Microbiology: I don’t know, because he’s grading our papers.
    Fine Arts Appreciation: 93%.
    American Government I: 94%.
    Introduction To Nursing: 94%.

So I’m pretty happy, because finals are coming up. My Nursing professor just finished grading our assignments, and she posted our grades up going into the final exam. I’m happy that I got a 93% on my last Terminology exam, because I was nervous about not doing so well on it because it was comprehensive and eighty questions long… but I need to put more faith in myself, I really do! :P

This week, in my Microbiology lecture class, we’ve been discussing the swine flu recently. I’ve heard that Texas is receiving more and more swine flu kits, as a matter of fact. Not only did we have two outbreaks here just a couple of hours north of where I live, but it was in Texas that the first death due to the swine flu occurred. I heard that it was a twenty-three month old child that got the swine flu and died due to complications of it, which struck me as extremely sad because… well, that’s a small child that we’re talking about. How horrible…

  • Before I head off to school, again…

I’ve been planning out next semester’s schedule, and I would ideally like to take Anatomy & Physiology I and Biology I with some other core classes that I need during the fall semester. That will effectively get rid of the good lot of prerequisites that I need for my nursing major, aside from the clinicals, which as I said in a previous post, I’d like to take almost back to back if I can help it. One of my friends is taking Anatomy & Physiology this semester, and he’s given me a pretty good idea of just what the class entails over the course of this semester… although I had a pretty good idea of my own. To me, learning about the human body is one of the most fun things that I can learn about at school, which is why I want to become a pediatric nurse. And to help people.

Jason’s sleeping, so I’m going to wake him up soon and feed him breakfast.
