Where Dani writes about… just about everything!
To be honest, I don’t really have any paperwork aside from the things that me and my son need. If I kept everything that I got or had, I’d probably be drowning in that stuff by now… as I’m sure that a lot of my readers also would, hence the point of only keeping what’s important! When I don’t need something, I shred it. Sometimes, I’ve even shredded things “twice” by folding it into two and then putting it into the shredding machine since ours easily allows for this. Because of this, I love the shredding machine that we have.
And up until semi-recently, I was never the world’s neatest person. Especially as a child. But I do make it a habit now to keep the things that we need, and to keep them in safe places that only I know about so a certain toddler doesn’t wander into their path. Kids can be kids, and I don’t expect Jason to suddenly know that certain things need to be kept safe in certain places. He’s only two.
So I went on a picnic yesterday. It was fun, even though it was kind of hot… but luckily for us, we were able to find a nice spot with some shade, although we ended up going back to his house a little bit earlier than we had anticipated due to the heat. After we’d eaten lunch, and before it had gotten too hot for us to decide to head back, we walked around the park a little bit. It’s got a lot of nice shade and trees in one part of it, something which my own city’s park doesn’t have because it’s not high up on their to-do list. Then again, to compensate for it, I think I heard something at some point about my city having free wireless internet in their park… but I do wish that we had a prettier park ourselves. A lot of the land that used to be so gorgeous in my city is now being mowed down because they want to build more apartments and duplexes for the military and their families, and although I know that they need homes…
Anyways, that was a bit of a tangent, so let me get back on track. Once we got back to his place, Matt and I played some Magic The Gathering and Uno. Yes, we are dorks. And yes, we are happy this way. We played a couple of games with his oldest brother, who chipped in for awhile. And then we found out that one of the games that Matt found up in the second story of the student center was actually Pokemon Pearl; he doesn’t have a DS to test these things out on, and I brought mine over with me in my purse. A lot of people leave a lot of nice stuff in the student center and forget about it, it seems, without even caring. Next semester, I’ll ask around to see if anyone lost a copy of Pearl, but I don’t know if we’ll actually find the person it belonged to… if they even care.
I would have taken pictures of the beautiful park, but I forgot to until we were already almost back to his house. Of course, my camera is on its last leg anyways, so it would probably be good of me to look into getting a new one sometime. We’ve had this one since 2003, and it’s… what… 2009 now?
Like I said up there in the subject line of this post… seeing this stuff makes me laugh, but in a really good way. I’m glad that someone has finally come up with something like this, though! God only knows that men suffer from some of the same things that us women do, but we have a bit of an advantage in the fact that we can easily hide blemishes or discolorations with our makeup. Men… couldn’t, until just recently.
Usually, the phrase “mens makeup” doesn’t bring a whole lot of good feelings and praise with it, but now I feel that it should. There is such a thing as mens cosmetics, and men should be able to wear some of the same things that us women wear without having to feel awkward or weird as a result. This has the same use that concealer does for women, and it can be used to hide such things as blemishes and scars for those occasions when you would be far better off hiding them.
No matter what your skin type is, you’re bound to find a shade that matches! So now you don’t need to worry. As a matter of fact, the Men Pen comes in seventeen different shades. Whether you’re light or dark, something will fit!
