Should I write when I have little caffeine?

Truth be told, I haven’t really been tuning in to Big Brother with the same faithfulness that was reserved for some of the previous seasons. After only two and a half weeks, I’ve come not to be able to stand watching Natalie on anything Big Brother-related any more. Not only do you seldom see her brush or wash her hair, let alone her body, but she’s going around proclaiming herself co-HOH when she hasn’t even won a single Head Of Household competition. All in all, she’s a little too arrogant for only being three weeks into the game, and she’s clearly letting the excitement of it all go to her head. And for some reason, I’m not finding myself too particularly fond of Michele, and I don’t exactly know why. Having heard that she was a fellow geek, and a neuroscientist at that, I would have thought that I would have liked her more.

In other news, this is entertaining… even if I live in an extremely Republican area, which didn’t fail to deliver the “goods” in the least this last election. :P

Charter is back with another great contest! Right now, they’re running the Laptop-a-Day Sweepstakes since their last sweepstakes went so incredibly well. Not only that, but they are extending this giveaway for two entire months! This contest will run from July 15th to September 15th, so that gives plenty of you chances to win your very own laptop. Not only that, but you can also potentially win a free gift card whose value ranges from $25 all the way up to $100 with some of the special online deals they have going on right now…

B2sbanner Being a college student myself, I know just how important it is to have a reliable computer that you can do schoolwork on and save your class notes on. Since back-to-school shopping is right around the corner, I’m glad that they’re offering these great deals at the time that they are! The people that win this awesome contest will receive a fifteen-inch HP 550 notebook, complete with Windows Vista and even a NeoTec Compu backpack. Won’t that make carrying your new laptop even handier? I really think so. :)

You can follow Charter on Facebook if you’re interested in reading about this great deal, or learning about some of the other great deals that they offer. Not only that, but Charter has a Twitter account of their own, so you can also follow Charter on Twitter too! I intend to be following them on both services.

  • Just some random, idle gamer chit-chat…

Jul 28, 2009 Author: Dani | Filed under: filibuster

I’m almost done with Chrono Trigger, and I’m wrapping up the quests you can do before you go and fight Lavos. This is why I tend to like console games and handheld games more than MMOs, although I would be lying if I said that I didn’t like Ragnarok Online. With games like these, I can come and go as I please without feeling like I’m letting someone down if the drive to play that particular game at that particular time doesn’t show up. When I’m done with Chrono Trigger, I’m going to playChrono Cross, even though a friend of mine and I disagreed on whether or not Chrono Cross was a good sequel to the first game. I mean, I suppose it’s okay in its own right… but it leaves so many questions unanswered, I know that much from having idly looked it up at one point in time. Oh well, I’m a Chrono fan. I eventually intend on playing Cross.

I’m also going to be playing Castlevania’s Symphony Of The Night sometime later, which excites me. I didn’t get into the game as early as one of my good friends did, but I am interested in it now that I’ve played some of the games in the series over the years. The idea of Dracula has always mystified me… :P
