Where Dani writes about… just about everything!
For the next several months, I think I’m going to be limited to swimming so far as exercise goes. I might want to check out some scuba equipment if I can, since I do remember swimming while I was pregnant with Jason. But since I don’t have all of the money in the world right now, the fact that Divers-Supply.Com has up to 70% discounts on all of their scuba gear makes this really nice.
I’m going to check this out!
After Jason has lunch, I’ll put his clown outfit on him and probably start taking pictures of him before Matt comes over.
This year, Halloween is from six to nine in the evening, and the weather channel says it’s going to be warm enough by then to take him out. We’re not going to go too far up the street, and I don’t know that I’m going to take him anywhere like the haunted house that hey have every year up at the college because I’ve been told that he’s too young for that one. That can wait.
He has a new candy carrier, too! It’s more versatile since he used to carry the old one even when it wasn’t Halloween, and he put dents in it because of that. The old one that he had was a plastic little pumpkin, and his new one is a little green bag with a bat on it that’s supported by a cylindrical wire. It’s adorable.
I love being able to search for new recipes in FoodConnect. It’s always helpful to have new and nutritious recipes on hand to be able to prepare for both me and my son, and being able to change the serving sizes to accommodate for the fact that my son is a small child and I’m an adult is always nice! One of the things that I’ve learned in school so far is that people need different amounts of calories and nutrients in their diet, especially if they’re children or pregnant women. Since the both of us don’t always like to eat the same thing, sites like FoodConnect.Com allow me to continue to add new things to both of our diets.
No matter how experienced you might be in the world of cooking, there’s sure to be recipes here on this site that you’ve never eaten or made before. I’ve added a picture of one of my favorite recipes, hot crab and cheese dip, to this post. It’s easy to search for new recipes based on foods that you already like, or things that you’d like to incorporate, by using the search bar on the right side of the site! That was what I did to find this recipe, as a matter of fact.
Now that I have spare time on my hands, it’s actually shocking!
But tomorrow is Halloween, which Jason and I are looking forward to! Matt has bravely volunteered to come along with us, which relates to the whole pulling my chairs out for me thing that I covered in one of my previous posts in here. I guess he’s using this as an opportunity to take time out from job hunting, because he’s set to graduate with his associate’s degree here in December and is looking for jobs he can work with that degree while he works on his bachelor’s. As for me, since my degree plan is larger and more comprehensive… graduation isn’t going to be as immediate as some of my friends. At least, it won’t be if I go as far as I want to go, which is to RN!
