Registration is now pretty much complete!

Well, I’ve registered for all of my classes! I decided to stay up until midnight last night and register online, which I’ve taken to doing since last semester so that I could get the majority of the classes that I wanted. Apparently, by one in the morning most of the classes that were being offered next Spring were already filled. Not surprising, is it?

Yesterday, I decided to switch Introduction to Computing to Introduction to the Internet because I felt like taking a class up on campus would be most comfortable for me. When given the choice, I learn best by hearing and seeing. Reading it doesn’t seem to help as much, at least not until I’ve seen and heard it for myself… and I was afraid that, especially considering that I’m pregnant, I would start to fall behind at some points in self-paced classes such as the online one that I was about to take. Besides, both of them fulfill the computer science elective credit requirement that is needed by every single bachelor’s degree anyways… and they don’t time out, unlike science credits.

Matt’s not sure if he wants to begin knocking out some of the classes that he’ll need for his bachelor’s degree in biology, especially because he doesn’t “walk” until next summer and will be transferring to the university… right down the road, as it were. Since his degree plan is so different from mine, I don’t think he’s able to tell which classes will count for his intended major on down the road. I know a few of mine that will count for my bachelor’s now, such as Government I and II, United States History I and II and Composition II. :P

Jason is taking a nap, so I am posting.

It seems to be an ongoing cycle that I eventually start playing Ragnarok Online again after periods of time where my interests are otherwise consumed in other games… or even other things. However, I have since decided not to seriously partake in any War of Emperium sieges from here on out. I don’t want to wind up feeling like I’m letting any of my guild mates down if, for whatever reason, I can’t show up for a siege. That could be because I’m busy with real-life issues, or simply because my interest in the game is receding somewhat and showing up because I feel like I “have” to has never gone well. Although I’m aware that I might already have said something about this at some point since this blog was created, I only bring it up here because it still continues to hold true. Should I change my mind, I’ll be sure to post that too! We will just see how things go…

However, I might participate in the occasional MvP siege. :) Provided that we can find the right classes to participate in it, that will be fun… and since I like to play priests and know their skill sets well, that’s one of the classes that any good party needs! MvP sieges aren’t as scheduled or as timed as WoEs, so I feel like participating in those would work better for me in the long run since I won’t have to feel like I have to be around to run them at very specific times.

Well, the campus was still closed because of Thanksgiving break… so I decided not to risk putting Biology I on my registration list and then have the registration reject me right at the time of registering because it read my transcript and already saw the technical pass. I’m not sure whether or not the registration system would know that it was over five years old, so I’ve just decided to take Developmental Mathematics IV, United States History II, American Literature II and Introduction to Computing. I need all of those for my major, and I don’t want to waste time switching things in and out of my registration list by the time that some of these classes are going to fill up. At any rate, I can just turn around and re-take General Biology I next Fall. It’ll be an easy class that can get me back into the groove of things after my little Spartan breaks forth from my loins. :P
