Sometimes, I just want to hang my head.

I can’t help but have less respect for Matt’s mother, seeing as how she’s been the one driving him down this path. Being set to graduate with his first degree in Biology, having delayed it a semester to begin taking some of the classes that would count towards his bachelor degree and having them be factored into his current grade point average… she wants him to change his entire degree plan and pursue culinary arts at the bachelor level. I’m still trying to imagine how this jump in degrees is going to take place, because transferring credits over is going to be like comparing apples and oranges. Sure, some of the more general education credits might transfer over without a problem, but what about the more specialized course that he really busted tail in to pass? :(

Was that for nothing? I can’t help but wonder what happened to the dream he had… since I’ve known him, of becoming a biology teacher. Where did that go?

  • Another song I can’t understand, but…

For some reason, I’ve found myself listening to French music. When it comes to speaking it, I would probably be one of the the worst in the world because it would sound like I was a foreigner in addition to someone who couldn’t even pronounce the most basic syllables of it, but I digress. A lot of the French music I’ve stumbled across is actually quite nice! If I’m not listening to Alizee — featured above — I’m listening to some of Celine Dion’s French music. :P

  • PlayStation 3, why must you suck so?

Well, my friend Jon and I got to talking about the Sony PlayStation 3. As much as I would like to have one at some point, that one can wait awhile… I’m not too thrilled with the new-found knowledge that newer consoles are not PS2-game compatible, because most of my gaming collection consists of PlayStation 2 games. I would have to hang onto my PlayStation 2 in order to continue to play them, which would kind of defeat the purpose of getting a PlayStation 3. Ironically enough, though, the PS3 is compatible with PlayStation games. Although I find that to be somewhat backwards, I’m probably going to hold out until newer releases are PS2-game compatible if I even get one at all.

Even if they have pink models, I’m still holding out. That still won’t tempt me!

As it is, I can’t even think of any games aside from Little Big Planet — which would by and large be for my children — that I’d like to play on it that aren’t also out on the 360. However, I can think of no small number of games that were only released on the 360 that were not released on the PlayStation 3, including Tales of Vesperia… so I think I made the right choice in being a Microsoft girl, even though the red ring of death can be horrible sometimes.
