Where Dani writes about… just about everything!
I think it would be a lot easier if this neighborhood had locking mailboxes. When I was in high school, I used to babysit the kids that would later become some of my sons’ fondest friends, and I remember taking them on walks up and down the road after they had gotten out of school in attempts to whittle away the time until their mother would get off of work and come over to pick them up. One of the things that I had to do was teach one of the children that just because someone did not have a locking mailbox, he couldn’t just try to reach in and pilfer through someone’s mail — I believe I had to explain what a “federal offense” meant to the kid. Fortunately, that only took one explanation!
If lockable mailboxes were made more available, things would be a lot easier. Luckily for me, I’ve found a site online where you can buy them for great prices — it’s MailboxIxchange.Com, as a matter of fact! If you’ve found yourself to be in need of a locking mailbox, I would really check this site out.
For the past few days, I’ve been helping one of my good friends with her schoolwork. Because I type faster than her, I’ve typed up some of her research papers for her and I’ve let her use Microsoft PowerPoint 2010 on my laptop to do a PowerPoint presentation for another project on. I’ve also been tutoring her in Statistics because of that whole thing where I have a B+ in a math class — I’m still not sure how this managed to happen, but why not turn my understanding of the class around to help someone out who could use it?
I have now registered for next semester’s classes! Knowing that it is probably in my best interests not to disclose too much specific information about Spring 2011′s classes, I’ll simply leave it at that I got what I wanted when I put those three classes on my preferred list prior to registrations — and that I’m taking one lab science, two gym courses. Because my youngest son will be able to drink juice and eat solid foods while I’m in class, I’ll be taking two “courses” a day. Mondays and Wednesdays will bring the lecture and lab portions of my chosen science class, whereas Tuesdays and Thursdays will bring my two favorite gym classes back to back without me having to delay any meals.
I will also be attending college during the summer, hoping to finish up my associates’ degree if everything is offered that I need to take then. If it’s not, I’ll seize whatever opportunities I can to get everything I need squared away!
