Where Dani writes about… just about everything!

Last winter, I caught my first Indiana Pacers game at Conseco Field House. I attended the game at the last minute, and have never been a huge Pacers fan, but I surprisingly had a great time at the game. Everyone at the arena was there to support their team, which created a great atmosphere to watch a game in. The half hour leading up to the game and the atmosphere afterwards was definitely worth coming back for. I knew very little about the sports team, the coaching staff and even less about their opponents, but the entertainment of the game was enough to keep me happy.
It didn’t hurt that we were in great seats in a luxury suite. Before heading downtown for the game, my friend and I made sure that the home security alarm (more info) was set and that we were prepared for the bitter cold of the January game. The suite was fabulous and offered a great view of the game, and even better food. We got the chance to talk to huge fans of the Pacers and realized just how much people in Indiana love their basketball team. Getting to see a game in such a basketball devoted town was a great experience.
What I want more than anything in the world right now is to find a site where I can get good, high-quality and free girly WordPress themes. Is that too much to ask? As I’ve written about in past entries, I’m thinking about setting up another WordPress blog… but one that’s on a top-level domain. However, I am a bit choosy in my tastes as I’m sure most of my readers have already begun to figure out. I want something that reeks of girly, preferably of the pastel pink sort and something that doesn’t involve me paying an arm and a leg just to own the files for — hence what I said about that whole “free” thing. As much as I know I might pay for maybe one WordPress theme, I’m still hard-pressed to actually do it. But with any luck, I’ll stumble across one that I like fairly soon!
This list doesn’t include all of what I do with my sons in a single day, since I’m saving that for a later post in my parenting blog. Because of that, this post is going to be… considerably shorter, shall we say, since I don’t have too much spare time. In about six months, I’m sure I’ll have slightly more of that!
I update both of my WordPress blogs and make the occasional posts on my Plurk timeline and in my Twitter stream as I catch spare moments. I surf the web looking for things to buy both of my sons — because of that, I tend to keep a list somewhere near my laptop chronicling their various needs and wants as I see them and stick to that list as much as I can. I do product and service reviews on things like HMS Home Warranty and moderate the atheist chat that I have since become a devoted member of. I think about which video games I want to play after both of my sons have retired to their respective beds for the evening, and I make contributions to various message boards.
I also think about scheduling some more “me time” in there every so often.
