Maybe I should upgrade my computer…

Dec 27, 2010 Author: Dani | Filed under: filibuster

Along with the cooling fan that I got for my laptop that arrived in the mail today, I think I’m going to have to get an external hard drive… sometime in the future. Having decided to install The Sims 2 back on here and debating installing the base game of The Sims 3 on here at some point, I know there’s going to come a time when I begin to run low on space. I mean, come on, let’s face facts here — this is a 2008 model Compaq with only 160GB of total space, and I know I’m using more and more of that with every program installed. :(

I’m hesitant to give up this computer entirely, though — it will always have a special place in my heart, seeing as how it was the very first one that I bought with my own money. Knowing me, I will use it for as long as I possibly can until it no longer boots up to begin with. I’m a geeky sentimental sap like that.

  • One day, I would like to get into fishing.

Dec 27, 2010 Author: Dani | Filed under: filibuster

When I was a little girl, I used to go fishing with my father whenever he had any extended sort of time off of work… but I’ve since abandoned the practice because I don’t have the quiet patience that often goes hand in hand with things like Virginia Beach fishing. One of these days, I would like to get back into fishing — maybe I can do this as soon as next summer, provided that everything continues to go as well as it has. If I can find a nice and peaceful lake to fish at where the water level isn’t half bad, it might be worth a shot!

One of the sites that I’ve been looking on recently would be the Virginia Beach fishing charter‘s website. If Texas doesn’t have the fishing spots available that I’d like to see or the kinds of fish available that I want to fish more, there are always other places I can check out. Why don’t you check this site out too?

  • UK remixes are often better than US ones.

Case in point, “When The Lights Go Out” by Five. I absolutely love this remix.

  • In thinking about getting my own house…

Dec 26, 2010 Author: Dani | Filed under: filibuster

Since I’ve never owned my own house, I’ll be the first to admit that I know nothing about Mortgage Rates. However, it’s something that I’ve felt compelled to do more research on as we’ve continued to stay in the economic recession that has plagued us for so long now — I’d like to have my own place after I get my bachelor’s degree at the local university, which is where I’m going to be transferring to in a semester or two after I’ve completed the required studies for my associate’s degree. With that said, I’ve been reading about First Time Buyer Mortgages in my spare time, usually when the kids are both sleeping.

Up until recently, I didn’t know that Mortgages for First Time Buyers actually existed. But finding out that they do has eased a huge burden off of my chest! I’m not going to have to compete against other people, as it were, to get myself a house. I’ll have an almost equal shot at securing my own mortgage and getting my own place, which has really brightened my overall mood. :)

I am so glad I stumbled across JustMortgageAdvice.com! It’s been a big help!
