Where Dani writes about… just about everything!
Have you heard about ampm‘s Too Much Good Stuff giveaway? If you haven’t, it’s as easy as heading on over to their Facebook page — http://www.facebook.com/ampm is where you can find it. Playing their instant win game is simple, as it gives you an entry into their sweepstakes! By doing so, you stand to win prizes like an eleven inch, 64GB Apple MacBook Air(R) or even a trip to Las Vegas if you’re over twenty-one. Who can pass up on just the chance to win those great items? I know I can’t. I mean, having an Apple MacBook would be great because it would be a lot easier to bring it to college, but that may just be the student in me talking.
Playing the instant win game is simple, too. By spinning the reels of their virtual slot machine, you become a winner if all three of them match at the end of the spin! They’re also giving away fifteen thousand bottles of Pepsi Max and ten thousand corn dogs on top of that, too! I mean, how much greater can it possibly get?
Personally, ampm is one of my favorite convenience stores. It’s more than just your typical convenience store, though. They have a variety of hot foods available for selection on their condiment bar, as do they have the Thirst Oasis soda fountain! For those of you who have never heard of that, it has up to twenty-four flavors of different fountain drinks, and it gives you a choice between crushed or cubed ice as well. How awesome!
I just figured that this would be worth mentioning because I almost always seem to pass, and go into, an ampm whenever I’m visiting family members in California! It’s my favorite convenience store in the state.
Be sure to Like their page after you’ve entered, too! I know I have, because I can’t wait to go to one again!
Knapsack is ready for school with the exception of my calculator and laptop, which will go into it the morning of — because as it is, I need to figure out whether my TI-84 Plus calculator will do me justice in college algebra or if I need to swing back by the bookstore and get a TI-91 or whatever TI’s newest calculator is. Hopefully I can keep my TI-84 though, because it took me a good quarter of the semester I took Statistics to get used to it… and as we all know, I enjoy keeping the things that work well with me. All I need to do at the end of the week is figure out just what it is I’m going to be wearing to school that first day, and I need to make enough time to head up to campus and get a hard copy of my schedule to get the necessary sticker for my ID card and the library sticker to boot. But I’ve done this every semester, so I’m used to it.
Truth be told, I’m kind of excited for school to start. I’m going to love seeing my friends and finding out what they’ve been up to in the three months that most of us have gone without seeing each other. I’m also going to love this semester’s course load, because it pales in comparison to some of my others and should be manageable. Math that looks survivable enough and art, whee!
