Where Dani writes about… just about everything!
I just felt as though it would be easier and more ethical for me to throw up a “disclaimer” like this at the start of the post, letting people know that I would be discussing something that is of a… mature subject matter. Namely, TwitterPorn. By clicking “Read more…” after this paragraph, you should be aware of what you’re getting yourselves into.
That being said, enjoy.
So I wound up being able to call the school about my outgoing transcript since they actually have a line just for that. They were able to verify that I had put in the original transcript request on the ninth of the month, having requested for it to be “held” until the eleventh when I received my associates’ degree, but something must have gotten lost along the way — when I had requested they send an incomplete transcript over to the four-year of my choice, it went out within days, and the one that they sent right to me didn’t take too long either. However, the woman that I happened to get a hold with over the phone was really nice and understanding about the whole thing, and she told me that the request would be processed by the end of the day. This makes me happy, because hey… this is Thursday we’re dealing with, and to figure out what I’ll need to take to get my bachelor’s degree, they need to see the coursework that I’ve completed to get my associates’ degree first. It’s only logical, right?
“The boys” are thinking about getting Grandpa one of these Seiko Solar Watches for the next Father’s Day that rolls around. Check these out! Although watches seem to be losing out to cell phones since the latter of those two allow you to see what time it is, Grandpa isn’t a fan in the slightest of those — he’s always worn a watch, and it would be more economical for him to continue to wear one. And in the face of having two grandchildren, one notoriously more stubborn than the other, the watch in question would have to be durable enough to survive the hijinks that would no doubt ensue around it. It would also be particularly meaningful because it would be something that his grandsons gave him, too. There are a lot of things that make watches just as cool, if not cooler than, a lot of the cell phones out — how technologically savvy they are, the story behind them and even who gave the watch to you.
All in all, I don’t feel as though watches should “lose out” to cell phones just because they do a few more things. They make pretty awesome gifts, even in today’s technologically advanced day and age! What do you think of them?
