One year ago to the minute*, I gave birth to a baby boy. I discovered that I could love two children just as much as I loved the one that I had up until this very moment one year ago, and that I could continue to be myself even in spite of having more than one child… or, well, one to begin with. In other words, I didn’t have to be any less of a geek after his birth! And in the year that passed, I became a lot better at feeling more comfortable in my own skin.

The intense itching that came with the last trimester of that pregnancy was worth it, and I would do it all over again to have the beautiful little boy that is one year old today. Never mind the fact that I am happy with two kids, though!
