If I’m not reading about surfboard day bags, I’m looking up the side effects that can reasonably be expected when one stops a prednisone burst. Having been on it for the last five days, excluding yesterday because that was the first day that I was off of it since it was prescribed to me, I’ve begun to acquaint myself with what’s to be expected coming off of it. And so far, I would like to be forthright and say that being on it was a lot more tolerable than coming off of it, although I can breathe much better than I was before I started the regimen. I mean, I will give it that… even though, well, you know, I’d rather not have to take this medicine any more than is absolutely necessary. Haha.

I can’t wait until my body has more or less regularized without it though. Steroids are finicky things, especially when you’re finagling with them — and all the more so, it seems, when you’re doing so for therapeutic reasons! That was obviously what happened in my case. Still, though. A few more days and I should be feeling more like myself sans the bronchial swelling that I’d incurred.
