As I continue to progress in my studies, one of the ideas that I’ve had to entertain are… what if a promising job comes up and it’s not within commuting distance of where I live now? What if I have to look up Wilmington NC real estate? For obvious reasons, I am hesitant about leaving this area. It happens to be the one that I grew up in, and it’s what each of my children have come to call home for the respective amounts of time that they’ve been here. That said, everything that we need is around here as well. I also happen to be the kind of person that sucks at geography. It’s never been one of my stronger suits unless you’re talking about which country is where in the world. But if you’re talking about how to get somewhere and I haven’t been there a zillion times? That’s going to be slightly more difficult for me to tell you, especially if we’re not actually in the process of going there. Yeah, I’m weird like that. I am.

I’m also not that big of a fan of the unfamiliar, either. If I’m familiar with something, I want to keep it around for as long as I can. I’m set in my ways!
