Where Dani writes about… just about everything!
I was running a bit of a temperature yesterday, but DayQuil seems to have nipped that in the bud over the course of the last twenty-four hours. Amusingly, I prefer DayQuil to NyQuil because the former of those two has a nasal decongestant… and when I’m sick with something, I generally do get nasal congestion. NyQuil has an antihistamine in place of DayQuil’s nasal decongestant. Those don’t clear my nose out at all. Sure, it might be theorized that a nasal decongestant’s stimulating properties (vasoconstriction of blood vessels, for instance) are less favorable at night when one wants to go to sleep, but I don’t get that much good sleep at all when my nose is plugged.
I’m still under the impression that the 2013 “bug” season is particularly virulent, though. Doesn’t it seem like there’s more out there this year?
