Now that it is summer vacation, after all…

May 19, 2009 Author: Dani | Filed under: filibuster

I’ve always been at a bit of a loss when it comes to deciding what places are fun enough to go on vacation on, but my friend Natasha has helped me out. She lives near Kissimmee, and she’s told me that her state has a lot of fun amusement parks and water parks. Since my two-year-old son has gotten to be a big fan of water, I might think about taking him to one of these once I’ve gotten my degree in school and am making more money. Although it wouldn’t be too fruitful for me to do that right now, seeing as how he’s only two and a half, I’m thinking that both he and I would like a lot of things Kissimmee has.

Jason would probably love their awesome water parks, and I know that I would seriously enjoy visiting one of their theme parks. I’ve always been a big fan of that sort of thing, and they do have some world-famous ones that even I have heard of. Even though Kissimmee is extremely large, it has the friendliness that a small town offers, which brings to me the best of both worlds! And one of the best things of all about this is the neat contest that they are currently offering. There’s set to be one more sweepstakes drawing at the beginning of next month, and the winner of this cool contest can win one of the three three-day, two-night weekend getaways that they’re giving out! This is for two, and they are also hosting a sweepstakes drawing for a week-long vacation for a traveling group of up to four. I’m thinking about entering my name into this myself, actually. What about the rest of you guys? Are you going to enter too?

It’s still kind of up in the air whether or not I’m going to incorporate gaming reviews into this blog, seeing as how I had to abandon the old gaming blog that I’d also had hosted on this website due to lack of time. I’m leaning towards wanting to do it, though. Right now, the only thing that’s really stopping me is the fact that I had intended to post more things to my mom blog like recipes and safety tips, which I swear… I’m going to try to stay more on top of doing, and I’m incorporating that into this blog post as a way to remind myself to remember to do it. :P Here’s hoping it works! Hopefully, with this being the summer, though… I will. But extended breaks from school seem to have a way of letting me forget to do some of the things that I say I’m going to do on this.

I’ve also been working on V.C. Andrews’ Petals On The Wind some, whenever I feel so inspired to read. I like the Dollenganger series of books because she was not afraid to write about far-fetched, sometimes even a little grisly things.

On the quest for a brand new watch here…

May 19, 2009 Author: Dani | Filed under: filibuster

I think I’m actually going to have to look into women’s watches again soon. Wow! The strap on my watch looks like it’s going to give way in about six months’ more time, because I’ve had this watch for a really long time. And although I love it, I’d like to get one that’s made to last longer once I have saved up some more money. I’d like to get a low-price fashion watch that gets the job done, telling me the time so that I’m not late to any of my classes. Now I have a pretty good idea as to where I might find some of these, though… and that makes me happy. :) I am going to start looking at QueMexNYC.Com.
